99% of all "employment agencies" do the same thing, the same way; gather resumes, gather job descriptions and attempt to "match" the job description given to them by the company with resumes. They try to match words on paper.
Few actually meet and interview the candidate. Fewer meet the client and tour the facility. Even fewer truly understand their client's short and long term business and hiring goals.
A few agencies will "video interview" a candidate, ask 8-10 standard questions and send the video on to the client for review. No interview. No engagement. No onboarding. Some will even send you a bag of popcorn to go with the videos.
Some will dazzle you with their use of "artificial intelligence" and "proprietary algorithms" in searching the internet for the perfect match. (By the way, it's called "The" Google.)
They continue on with "we have hundreds of perfectly qualified people just ready to start work for you, and we can send them over, today!" (After we call their resumes.)
And the hits just keep on rollin'...
